Robit Rocktools Ltd. applies ISO9001:2008 standard in all its activities. ISO9001:2008 is the latest version of the most respected and the best known quality standard in the world. Therefore Robit has selected it to assure also all the new customers that Robit Rocktools meets all the highest standards.

Rigorous quality control at Robit Rocktools Ltd. means, for example, measuring the hardness of the body and electronic microscopic analysis of the tungsten carbide used in the buttons. Quality is made and tested throughout the manufacturing process. Therefore we guarantee the consistent high quality for all Robit® products.

Soliditet Finland has granted the AAA credit rating for Robit Rocktools Ltd. AAA is the highest credit rating class, and it means that when dealing with these companies the credit risk is minimal. Only 4,58% of the Finnish companies are in the AAA class. To get the AAA credit rating the company turnover must be higher than 2 M SEK, it must have existed for at least 10 years and ratios need to be substantially higher than industry average.

First class materials

All the Robit® button bits are manufactured of Scandinavian Green Steel grade specially manufactured for us.It is 100% recyclable. In the environmentally friendly steel production process the CO₂ emissions have been reduced 80%, and 95 % of the waste is recycled including the process smoke which is filtered. All this is achieved without compromising the steel properties. On the contrary, the new steel grade gives even more uniform properties and improved fatigue strength which is crucial in rock drilling process.

Tungsten carbide is vitally important in button bits, as it is the material, which actually breaks the rock. Modern percussion rock drills strike the rock face through the bit 3600 times per minute with a power of 20 kW and more. At Robit Rocktools we have spared no effort to optimise the cobalt ratio and microstructure of the tungsten carbide used in the buttons. We have also paid special attention to designing different button shapes from standard round to ballistic for different rock formations.

Automated production

Robit® has invested in the most advanced production technology such as robotized productions cells, button insertion machinery, and automated painting lines. Automated production increases the capacity, improves the productivity and secures consistent high quality of the products. This helps Robit® to react on the changing markets and growing demand of our products.
