Robit Rocktools Ltd was rewarded on Saturday 24.9.2011 as a company of the province for 2011. The Pirkanmaa Entrepreneurs’ Associaton chose the winner.

Unstable global market situation does not discourage the company of the year. "We believe in a humble legwork on the field.", defines the CEO Jussi Rautiainen, who travels 100 days around the world/year as does all other 11 sales men. Everyone's target is to meet at least two customers in a day. That makes 2400 contacts in a year. If one of each five goes to goal, we get 480 deals. Robit has employed ten new persons in this year to Lempäälä unit. "Sales man should first sell himself,  after that the products.", says Mr. Rautiainen.

Robit's turnover has increased 41% from the last year. Robit exports its products to 80 countries at the moment. Target is to get 20 new ones. We have high expectations on a growing market of Asia and Africa, without forgetting South America.

Epävarma globaali taloustilanne ei lannista vuoden yritystä. "Uskomme nöyrään jalkatyöhön kentällä.", tarkentaa toimitusjohtaja Jussi Rautiainen, joka matkustaa yhtiön 11 myyntimiehen tavoin 100 päivää vuodessa maailmalla. Jokaisen tavoitteena on kaksi asiakastapaamista päivässä. Se tekee 2400 kontaktia vuodessa. Jos joka viidennes menee maaliin, saadaan 480 kauppaa. Tänä vuonna Lempäälän yksikköön on palkattu kymmenen ammattitaitoisia moniosaajaa. "Myyntimiehen pitää ensin myydä itsensä, sitten vasta tuote.", sanoo Rautiainen.

Liikevaihto on kasvanut edellisestä vuodesta 41%. Yritys vie tuotteitaan tällä hetkellä 80 maahan. Tähtäimessä on 20 uutta maata. Robitilla on kovat odotukset Aasian ja Afrikan kasvavilla markkinoilla, unohtamatta Etelä-Amerikkaa.

Robit takes strong foothold in Asia with an acquisition

The start of a new era has begun in the history of Robit Rocktools Ltd when it is entering into South Korea. The signing of the share purchase agreement with Young Poong CND Co. Ltd took place at Robit Rocktools factory on May 16th at 15.00. “This process was started back at 2009 as we signed the letter of intent. The recession and our extensive investments in Tampere factory delayed the process somewhat, but as the common goal was clear to both parties, we were able to finalize this deal. Now we are truly excited and eager to move forward with our plans.”, says the CEO of Robit Rocktools, Jussi Rautiainen. We have a strong belief and faith that this partnership will form excellent cornerstone for Robit’s future.

"Through the co-operation with local manufacturer we will be able to expand our product range and to diversify our production. Factory and warehouse in Asia will enable us to serve our customers even better than before. Local presence in new time zone allows us to offer Robit's high quality products at substantially shorter lead times and more competitive pricing for our customers in the region." Mr. Rautiainen explains. This deal will transform Robit to a truly international player in the field of drilling. Our numbers will increase to over 70 employees and the total turnover will exceed 25 Million Euros.

Robit Rocktools Ltd - From Workshop to Factory

Robit Rocktools Ltd. moved in the Vikkiniityntie 9 in 2001. When bought the property looked quite sad, but the Robit management saw a huge potential in it.
 


Vikkiniityntie 9 in 2000 before any renovations. 

A few years went by, and Robit was growing. Jussi Rautiainen started as an Managing Director, and as his first deed decided to invest in the property. After the facelift the building started to look like a serious international player.


 In 2005 Robit starts to look like an international player.

World changes, and so does Robit. In year 2008 the business was booming, and the space was really running short. Due to the extremely fast growth rate Robitn needed to look to the future and start thinking of a factory extension. In 2009 more quiet market situation gave a chance to improve the processes, and also the property. As a result, a new beautiful factory was up and running in the spring 2010, ready to face the fast growing demand.
